Remotely…
Rural communities are precious, but living in them brings special challenges. Even for people who are used to living in places that seem idyllic, life can sometimes be difficult.
Successful policies about them should help them to thrive and reduce pressures on the world’s towns and cities.
Remotely… is an initiative bringing together this experience with the wisdom of practitioners and researchers globally. People passionate about maintaining and strengthening rural communities are pooling their knowledge and expertise to give those who live in isolated settings the best possible support. 3P3C will provide the backbone of this support.
Currently, Remotely… is developing programmes in:
- three areas of Ireland
- the west coast of Scotland
- village and hamlet communities in Karnataka, India
- Antalya and İzmir provinces in Türkiye
- the regions of Ynys Môn, Gwynedd and Conwy in Wales
In the UK, this project is co-funded by the NHS and Age-UK.
